Why the index exists

Business information is scattered across registers, portals and filings that each use their own format. That makes basic questions hard to answer: how many companies operate in a sector, whether a counterparty is still active, which entities share ownership or addresses. Directories that rely on submissions only make this worse, because they represent whoever chose to be listed.

We take the opposite approach. A country is added only when its full register can be ingested and maintained, and every record is turned into a consistent company profile that preserves the links between entities, branches, classifications and countries. The result is data you can count on rather than a sample you have to qualify.
